Thanks for clarifying...Ordinarily, I'd have second thoughts about eating where I could possibly be surveilled during dinner -- not because I'd fear revealing any state's secrets, mind you, it's the (and I'm mouthing this now) ever-thinning scalp up top -- but now I'm doubly intrigued. Plus, I'd like to point out to the manager that this here blog ranks higher on Google searches. ;-)Bernhardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03169231812650606384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10441939.post-29661424857581826022007-06-06T13:40:00.000+02:002007-06-06T13:40:00.000+02:00Interestingly enough, there is one camera. I am not sure why it is there, as it is a pretty safe place to be (one of those new 'town center' developments that is very popular in the DC metro are) and the crowd is one of the yuppie, 30-something variety. But, the food and service are such a nice change from the stereotypical Italian restaurants that we all cringe at. (I tend to steer away from places called "Italian" when I am home, because it is usually not. It is so much better to have a nice curry, or thai-- something that is sadly missing here...) But, Sette Bello is worth the time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10441939.post-79548308020057467842007-06-06T08:37:00.000+02:002007-06-06T08:37:00.000+02:00Thanks for the tip. Do they really have surveillance cameras set up throughout the dining room? http://dcfud.smorgasblog.com/archives/002204.html

That would be taking the genre of "contemporary Italian" a bit too far, methinks.Bernhard Warnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18362318132364843733noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10441939.post-72083678675053696952007-06-06T02:14:00.000+02:002007-06-06T02:14:00.000+02:00I am an American in Siena who often reads your blo...I am an American in Siena who often reads your blog. I have to say that the restaurant to which you refer is wonderful. Should you ever find yourself in Arlington, VA, you must not pass it up!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
